WhatsAPP, ZOOM, JUMIA, SAFE BODA, GOOGLE MEET, GOOGLE CLASS, CEFLIX,

Teachers

WhatsAPP: Teachers are using WhatsAPP to communicate with parents and share details about recommended readings and assignments to be done by the pupils.

ZOOM: Teachers are using ZOOM to teach pupils at designated hours and further details are communicated via email.

Parents

JUMIA: Parents are using JUMIA an online shopping APP to buy groceries and other commodities and get delivered straight home.

SAFE BODA: Parents and teachers who need to move from one location to another are now using SAFE BODA  which offers motorcycle rides. This is because both Private cars and public transport seized movement and operations.

GOOGLE MEET: Teachers within the universities are using GOOGLE MEET to schedule and hold meetings with members of staff.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM: Although not yet in operation, the university is planning to hold online classes with students via Google Classroom.

CEFLIX: For parents who can not attend church physically, they are now using CEFLIX to view ministry programs and church services.

Teachers-Whatsapp

Teachers can use whatsapp to communicate with their learners and their parents as this is the most accessible and is very much affordable. Teachers can use this app to share content with their learners. Teachers can also use the app to allow group work with learners by having group video call with their learners. Moreover, whatsapp can be used by teachers to communicate with their colleagues to share ideas 

Learners: WhatsApp

Use an interactive platform with fellow classmates (and teachers), they can also use it to have discussions on topics that they find difficult. Setting up a class WhatsApp group where information is shared about school work.

Learners/ Vodacom free online learning


Learners can use Vodacom free online learning this gives students an opportunity to carry on with school work at zero rated and accommodates those learners who do not have access to internet.

Teachers- Blackboard Learn

This can be used by teachers to post class material, to post a poll in order to get input. They can also set up timed quizzes for assessment purposes.

Learners can use edmodo to keep in contact with their teachers and and be able to engage with their classmates. learners can also access their study material and tasks that they need to complete
